I stand with Harry Reid because Harry Reid stands with America in supporting our troops and changing course in Iraq.
It takes courage to speak the truth when it comes to the war in Iraq.
We have lost more than 3,300 troops and billions of tax dollars. It has
left our world increasingly dangerous and hostile to the American way of
life, and stretched our military beyond their readiness capabilities. Yet,
the President continues to insist on placing our brave men and women in the
middle of an Iraqi civil war with no discernable end.
I stand with Harry Reid because he has listened to the recommendations of
the bipartisan Iraq Study Group, military experts and the majority of the
American people. He acknowledges that Iraqis are engaged in a bloody civil
war, and that it is time for the Iraqis to take responsibility for their own
future and bring a responsible end to this war. Harry Reid is leading the
fight to responsibly redeploy our forces from Iraq, allowing them to more
effectively fight terrorism across the globe and strengthen our security.
In our country's history, we honor patriots who stand up for their beliefs
and their country. That's why I stand with Harry Reid.
